- What is one thing that stood out to you from this week’s message?
- What does Psalm 22 reveal about the suffering that Jesus went through?
- Most religions in the world balk at the idea of their supreme god suffering. Why is this idea a stumbling block? Why is it important for Christians?
- Can you explain the atonement in your own words? Why is it important to understand the atonement?
- When do you feel lonely? During the holidays? When you are tired?
- What do I do with those lonely feelings? Take them to God? Complain? Further isolate from community? Seek out other ways to numb the feelings, like the internet, entertainment, pornagraphy?
